Skiing at Rolling Hills County Park

Posted by ppna on December 19, 2007

The Skiing trip to Rolling Hills County Park was a great success and a great deal.  I’m not sure what the park entrance rate is but I believe it to be $5.00 and ski rental is $4.00 per person (I’m not sure if that is for 1 hour or all day).  They have a 3 mile loop and a 1/2 mile torch-lit loop.   On this evening there were no torches but we were told they will be set up by this coming weekend.   We took a combo loop of about 2 miles primarily because there were a lot of points where the marking weren’t the best (especially after dark).  After returning our skis we took a couple of trips down the sledding hill and went home.

I would recommend stopping by Rolling Hills and doing a little skiing the trails aren’t tough but are fun.   I can’t wait to see what they look like in daylight.
