It’s Thursday night and it’s time to get ready for Theos Tough Trivia Thursday. Theos on Cross St. hosts the trivia night. It’s a co-sponsored event between Theos and WAAM AM1600. The host is Alan Black of WAAM. Patrons are encouraged to gather in teams of up to 4 people. There are 3 rounds of 15 questions which are answered by writing the answer on an answer sheet. Alan grades the sheets after each round. After three rounds there is a special 4th round which is of Alan’s choosing. I strongly recommend that people show up for this event.
The only down side is that the trivia night is at Theos. Theos is a great place if you don’t care about the quality of the beer you drink (Bud Light, Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft Lite and if you feel extravagant Blue Moon). It is by far the worst deal in the city but you have the chance to cover your tab by winning trivia. The winner gets a generous $50.00 credit plus Salon certificates from Binhs place and lately they have had basketball tickets to both EMU and UM to give away. As I understand it, tonight there will be tickets to the GLI given away.
During Trivia the only people at the bar are those that come to play trivia. It tends to be people aged from 30-70 so anyone should feel comfortable. It also seems to be a mostly non-smoking crowd so you don’t have to worry about that.
